It is with great pleasure and much gratitude that we are able to share this news with you all.
Approximately six years ago, the management committee embarked on a project to try and raise enough funds through generous donations, fund raisers and through diligence saving of monies, we were finally able to install the long-awaited Solar System at the Home. As you are aware this will bring a significant reduction in the exorbitant monthly ESKOM fees. Together with the significant savings, the Solar has now made the home sustainable for years to come creating a worry free and safe environment for the residence.
Thirty (30) solar panels and three 5Kwh Inverters have been installed. The decision was made not to purchase any batteries at this stage, however the system will be monitored over the next 6 months.
The Management Committee and residents of the Randvaal Old Age Home would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest thanks for your generous donations, your ongoing support and involvement in respect of this event.
